Jackson Dirt Works has completed the initial installation of stream enhancement measures along the Sycamore Creek. Following this milestone, a comprehensive inspection of the installed measures will take place to determine if any adjustments are needed to the project as a whole. Adjustments to stream measures and restoration activities along the Hayhoe Riverwalk will take place over the next few weeks. Expect to see intermittent use of the Riverwalk to make these minor adjustments and restore the pathway corridor. As always, personnel will be placed along the path to warn pedestrians of any construction activity.
Future work along the Riverwalk, as part of this project, may include but is not limited to; signage installation, asphalt path repairs, and other restoration activity along the Riverwalk.
The Sycamore Creek Enhancement Project is being constructed as mitigation for the Bauer Drain Relocation Project by a contractor retained by the Ingham County Drain Commissioner Patrick E Lindemann. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Terry Belill, inspector, 989-996-5228.
Everything is beautiful! WHAT are the amazing grass seeds that you are using? Wow, it’s like time-warp camera, they are growing so fast. Thanks! Tammy
We appreciate the positive comments! Our contractor uses a seed mix that provide a quick green-up while the other heartier seeds take their time to germinate and grow.
